Sustainably managing the world's healthiest tuna stocks
"Our Members are collectively responsible for around 30 million square kilometres of ocean, and over 20 percent of the world's Exclusive Economic Zone. As large ocean island states, our region is home to the largest tuna stocks in the world and a third of the world's tuna supply is from our Members' waters." - FFA Director-General Dr Manu Tupou-Roosen told Pacific leaders at the 53rd Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting that was hosted in Nuku'alofa, Tonga from 26 - 30 August 2024.
